 Nelson National Triptych Salon

Terms and Conditions of Entry

1 The Salon is for Digitally Projected Images only. 
1.1   You may enter up to a maximum of 6 triptychs.
1.2   Entries must be received by 11:59pm on the Closing Date.
1.3   Images must be in JPEG format with a maximum resolution of 3840 pixels horizontal and 2160 pixels vertical.
1.4   When saving JPEG ( jpg ) files, please save at the Highest Quality. Maximum file size 2.5 Megabyte
1.5   All entries must be titled. Please note that “No Title”, “Untitled” or similar will not be accepted as valid titles.
1.6.1   Entries must take the form of a triptych which for the purpose of this Salon is a presentation made up of three (and only three) distinctly separated photographic images displayed on a common background.  The background should complement the presentation of the three images but must not become a significant “fourth image” in the message of the triptych’s three images.
1.6.2   No titles must appear on the background.
1.6.3   The only restriction on the arrangement of the triptych’s three images is that they must not meet or overlap.
1.6.4   There is no requirement that the three images must be either the same size or the same shape.
1.6.5   Added borders, drop shadows etc. are allowed.
1.7   Images must be entered via the Salon’s on-line entry form.

​2. Eligibility
 
2.1   Entrants must have exclusive rights and permission relating to the subject matter of their entries.
2.2   All components of the three images constituting the triptych must originate as photographs made by the entrant using a camera of some kind.
2.3   Images may be modified by the entrant using editing software. Any modification of the image must be made by the entrant or under their personal direction.
2.4   Electronically-generated patterns (e.g. fractals) are not permitted.
2.5   Triptychs that have received an award in any previous Nelson National Triptych Salon may not be entered again.
2.6   The Nelson National Triptych Salon reserves the right to decline images that have not been submitted correctly and to disqualify any entry it deems unsuitable to the nature of the Salon.

3. Fees
3.1
 See Entry Form for fee amount.
3.2  Payment must be by internet banking to the Salon account No. 03 1354 0254627 01, If your bank requires three digits in the suffix field please enter 001 instead of 01.
3.3   Enter your last name in “Particulars”, your first name in “Payee Code”.


4. Reproduction and Privacy
 
4.1   Copyright to entries remains at all times with you (the entrant).
4.2   You (the entrant) hereby grant the right to reproduce entries for publicity or other purposes related to the Nelson National Triptych Salon (including the right to use a low-resolution image of entries on the Salon website and to publish your entries in the Catalogue).
4.3   The Nelson National Triptych Salon will not divulge any of your personal details to anyone without your permission.
4.4   The Nelson National Triptych Salon will use your details ONLY for communication with you regarding the Nelson National Triptych Salon.

5. Liability
 
5.1   All possible care will be taken to safeguard entries.
5.2 No responsibility will be accepted for any damage or loss to entries during transit or exhibition.
5.3   Neither The Nelson National Triptych Salon nor Nelson Camera Club Inc. as organiser will be liable for any claims relating from copyright or privacy infringements or disputes.
