Beginners Photography lead by

This free workshop is created for beginning photographers who would like to spend some time learning the basics of taking and making great images. Numbers are limited to maximum 12 enabling Irene to give individual help, support and advice.  You must be a paid-up member of Nelson Camera Club* to attend.

If more than 12 people sign up Irene may be able to run a second day. 

*In the event that less than 12 NCC members sign up, non-NCC members may be able to attend for a $25 fee.

​Attendees will need to have downloaded Faststone Image Viewer software onto their computers before the workshop.  Faststone is a powerful, adware-free, spyware-free and cost-free programme.
When:   20th July - all day

Where:   Fish & Game Rooms, Champion Road, Richmond

Cost:   Free to Nelson Camera Club members.  Non-members may be able to attend for a small fee if numbers allow.

  • Taking images
  • Basic post production

  • Entering competitions
  • Critiquing images (** see below)

Please bring:
  • *a question about something you would like to learn or have explained (or preferably, add question to enrolment form or email IreneC ahead of the workshop)
  • **bring a couple of your images for critiquing

  • your lunch
  • a tripod (if you have one)
  • spare batteries (just in case)
  • cord to plug in laptop (just in case)
