Venue: Kotuku Room at Pūtangitangi Greenmeadows Centre, Stoke.

  • A brief intro and slideshow
  • What is macro?
  • What is the kit that I use, and what will you need if you want to take it to the next level?
  • What are the different types of flash, and why is flash important in macro photography?
  • Intro to diffusers
  • Brief overview of focus stacking
  • What settings to use?

Photographing around Isel Park 
 
Equipment needed 
  • Camera
  • Macro lens (ideally)
  • Flash - either built in or externally mounted (recommended but not essential)
  • Diffuser - DIY 
           Wayne will demo DIY in his presentation.
           Bring a home-made diffuser, if you wish.
 
Tripods not necessary as the focus is on hand-held 
 
For members without a flash who may like to try using one, see Peter Wise. He has a box of old flash units you may borrow.  Please google the flash sync speed for your camera before the day.
