General Information

This annual photo competition held between the Nelson, Marlborough and Motueka Camera Clubs is a fantastic opportunity to team up with other keen photographers, test your creative and technical skills, meet new, Top-of-the-South photographers, renew past friendships and have a bit of fun.

There is no cost to attend this fun, one-day event which is hosted on a rotational basis by each of the three clubs.

MNM Interclub Challenge

DRAFT CONDITONS....not intended to guide 2025 entries

• Each club is invited to submit a 'Club Entry' comprising 6 x print and 6 x digital images.
• Digital images size restrictions are: 
  • Image file format - sRGB and JPEG
  • Image dimensions must have a maximum resolution of 1620 pixels horizontal and 1080 pixels vertical.
  • Please save at the Highest Quality.
  • Maximum file size 2.5 Megabyte
• ​Only one digital entry or one print entry per author [except 2 team members who may have 1 of both ??].​
• The host club will organise a local judge to anonymously evaluate the images .​
• Each image will be judged on its own merits and critiqued for composition, communication, creativity and technical aspects.​
• The Nelson, Marlborough, Motueka Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the Club who gains the top aggregate score from the 12 images that are entered. 
• Additionally, 3 individual trophies will be awarded:
  • Champion Digital Image
  • Champion Print Image
  • Champion Image overall.​
• Closing date for club entries will be decided by the host club and communicated to all clubs
