More comfortable behind the camera than in front of it.

My photographic journey

Born in the UK, trained as a teacher, visited New Zealand for 12 months in 1985 but never left.  Always had a camera since my first Kodak Instamatic which I received for Christmas when I was about 8 years old.  Fell in love with photography again after getting first digital camera in about 2006 and again, during a year off work when I was introduced to blipfoto.  I took up the challenge of posting one photo a day for a year but I'm still doing now, many years later.  There are gaps when my mojo goes walkabout though, but it's something I still enjoy.

My gallery of favourite images

A walk through native beech forest is always a heart-warming experience I never tire of.
