Hailing from the north west of England, Noelle and her husband emigrated to New Zealand in 2002. Originally trained as a classical musician, she retrained in her mid-30s as a radiation therapist, a career she continued with until her retirement in 2018.
Noelle first ventured into photography in 2012 and is a self-taught photographer who describes her photographic style as something of a complex mix. But overall, she says that the element that matters most to her in her photography is that of an emotional connection - that her images have the ability to speak to those who view them. And that manifests itself in her love for impressionistic and abstract photography.
She belongs to both the Dunedin Photographic Society and the Photographic Society of New Zealand. She was awarded her Licentiateship of the Photographic Society of New Zealand (LPSNZ) in 2018 and then her Associateship in 2021. She has had her work featured several times in NZ Photographer Magazine and has also been a featured photographer in the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) Photography Magazine which is a worldwide e-magazine dedicated entirely to the ICM genre of photography.

Dianna has had a love for photography since receiving a Kodak Instamatic camera at the age of 14. She credits her growth in photography over the past 20 years, to participating in her local camera club, investing in an Olympus mirrorless camera, gaining skills in creative editing and discovering her love for street photography. Dianna has had success with her photography at the national level including Natex, Creative Focus, North Shore, and the Nelson National Triptych . She gained her APSNZ in 2021 with a digital set of black and white images called the “The Art of Body Language”. With the arrival of covid and restrictions on travel Dianna has taken up an interest in macro photography.
